Livecycle is a great program but it doesnt seem to do everything I need it to do. For instance I cant embed the livecycle forms into a website like I an with acroforms. The reason why I cant just convert it to a pdf and embed it is because I need it to be a xml form as well as I need it to behave in. I have used for several years Adobe Livecycle in an enterprise environment. I am looking for an alternative, that would be able to meet the same usage needs that I had on that scenario. We had: 1 - Designer to create PDF templates, that could be fed with data to be dinamically generated. 2 - API for generating PDF document based on template.

This standalone user friendly and easy-to-install server can be up and running in just a few clicks! Alternatives to FormsCentral for Hosting Collection of Data from LiveCycle DYNAMIC Forms. FormsCentral will not allow you to import a Dynamic form created in LiveCycle Designer. Unfortunately, the form that I have create requires Dynamic features. What is a good alternative to FormsCentral which can receive/collect data from a Dynamic LiveCycle.

Reader Extensions

Standard PDF forms (called Acroforms) do not need to be “reader enabled” in order to be filled and saved in Adobe Reader XI. Livecyle Dynamic XFA forms continue to require the form to be Reader Extended in order save the form and data in Adobe Reader. Adobe is retiring dynamic XFA forms so it is recommended to use standard Acroforms for portability.
