Skyrim cannot be called a new game, even after it has been re-released, and Bethesda had to put out money on its success. The Special Edition hit the market back in 2016, and it is safe to say that it was an improvement, but the modding community wasn’t delighted. The Skyrim Nexus is full of things you should try and install, but sometimes it’s just hard to decide what to put in your game.

Six years after its release, Skyrim still manages to be relevant. Between the 2016 remaster, the upcoming VR version, and now a Switch port, it's hard to forget about The Elder Scrolls V, and that. So, I was wondering if the Skyrim Legendary Edition for the PS3 is completely worth it when it comes down to money and resett. I'd say it's definitely worth it but going from W3 to Skyrim might be a bit of a let down. TESV is a great game and not having a forced protagonist is nice but W3 does nearly everything better. Thank I want to get portal 2 but I saw skyrim and thought about it and came here. They are 2 completely different games. If you want your money's worth then you can't go wrong with Skyrim. Portal 2 is also worth the money but you won't get as much out of it simply because it's a shorter game.

Modding Skyrim can be easy for you, or rather complicated, depending on how you want your game to be. We are here to tell you if the ultra-mod Skyrim is worth your time.

Some people were clearly attracted to the game ever since it was released. Many, ourselves included, played it for hours and hours, and we were not tired of it. We went through Daggerfall, Morrowind, and Oblivion. We were amazed.

In ultra-modding, you get to find new ways to enjoy the game. For example, did you know that there are tools that you’ve probably never heard of before? Like SSEEdit and DynDOLOD? For some, it may become too overwhelming. There are also many configurations to run and merges to do, but is it fun? Yes. Before, the game was challenging, but not that difficult. You could simply die by falling off a cliff, and it would have still been harder than fighting some of your enemies. Dragon battles were a piece of cake, and Falmer started to feel less threatening.

With this new mod, you might have some problems, so make sure you set the difficulty to Apprentice, make sure you’re enjoying the game to the fullest. The main mod is Legacy of the Dragonborn, which comes with new gameplay. You’ll find plenty of collectibles and cards at the Blue Palace. The NPC behavior simply improved the visuals, and Skyrim just feels like a brand new game with this new mod.

Skyrim Legendary Edition marks the end of the Skyrim saga with one package that includes the original game plus all its available DLC.

As one of the highest rated games of all time, the Legendary Edition is a great package for those who missed out to experience Skyrim in its entirety – but it comes at a price.

In the table below, we have compared the prices of Skyrim standard, its DLC as a separate purchase, and the Skyrim Legendary Edition (SLE) bundle. Where indicated, prices are based on current recommended retail price (RRP) at the time of writing. Other prices are based on average retail list prices, or digital store list prices. In the case of the DLC on Xbox LIVE, which uses MS points, we had to break out the MyGaming abacus and do some math to come to an average price point.

Bethesda have indicated that their Skyrim team has moved on to new endeavours, suggesting that this is the last we’ll see of official Skyrim content. However, PC gamers will undoubtedly continue to enjoy community created content for years to come. So what do we make of the various DLCs on offer for the game?

Hearthfire: 70%

The PC modding community created a handful of “build your own home” mods for Skyrim, so Bethesda decided to give all Skyrim fans an official polished take on this concept and at a reasonable price.

For console gamers this is a neat addition to make you feel at home in Skyrim. For PC players this is a good option if you don’t want to mess around with mods. For the tinkerers, a similar result can be achieved using mods.

Dawnguard: 65%

Dawnguard was the first major Skyrim DLC, but it carried a hefty price tag.

Despite adding a number of new items and side quests, the main quest was noticeably unpolished and arguably unfinished in some areas.

Dragonborn: 85%

Dragonborn was certainly more worthy of its association with Morrowind and Skyrim; it provided a decent amount of new content and game dynamics.

For hardcore Skyrim addicts it’s an essential addition, but for casual players there is already more than enough content in the vanilla title.

Skyrim Legendary Edition would work great as a birthday present – but if you don’t own Skyrim by now, chances are you’re not too interested anyway.

If you fall in the category of gamer who just wasn’t able to grab the game until now, then this is obviously the ultimate Skyrim package, and the overall game is fantastic as ever (I’ve sunk over 500 hours into Skyrim so far).

If you just want a taste of the game everyone was talking about over a year ago, I’d suggest you just pick up a copy of vanilla Skyrim or wait for the Legendary Edition to go on special a few months from now.
